Laurie Garrett
Laurie Garrett is a 3rd generation native Tampa, and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of
Tulane University and received Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan. After several years as Director of Social Services for the Lighthouse for the Blind, Laurie returned to school to earn a Masters of Business Administration (MBA degree) from the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia.
Laurie has over 20 years’ business experience, including handling Gillette’s Right Guard and Silkience shampoo accounts for Young and Rubicam Advertising, New York. She returned to Tampa where she was a principal in Colony Shops, a retail clothing chain.
Laurie joined Excel Mortgage Network in 2002. She holds both mortgage and real estate licenses. Laurie is committed to assisting her clients to utilize real estate and mortgage financing to help them achieve their individual long term financial needs.
Married to CBS investigative reporter Mike Deeson, Laurie is the mother of two. She is an accomplished artist and has exhibited in several Bay area galleries.
